X-ray Diffraction @ University of Alabama

The MINT Center houses two X-ray diffractometers, a Philips X???pert and Rigaku Diffractometer with Cu K?? sources. Additionally, a Bruker Discovery D8 Diffractometer, with a General Area Diffraction Detector (GADDS, 2D detector), is housed in the Metallurgical Engineering Department. The Bruker has a 5-axis goinometer enabling it to sample various diffraction angels for texture analysis and can use either a Cu and Co radiation source.
