This is a shared facility funded by an NSF Major Research Instrumentation award (PI: Tang). It is used extensively for studies of nanoscale materials and devices, and in particular biological materials. Additional functionalities have been added to an existing AFM facility previously funded by the NSF major instrumentation grant.</p></div></div></div> Wed, 25 Mar 2015 04:32:59 +0000 admin 3322 at https://www.mrsec.org Center for Atom Probe Tomography (NUCAPT) https://www.mrsec.org/facilities/center-atom-probe-tomography-nucapt <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>Atom-probe tomography (APT) is a microanalytical instrument producing an atom-by-atom three-dimensional reconstruction of a sample, with sub-nanometer resolution with a typical analyzed volume of about 150 x 150 x 500 nm3 .
